This site is dedicated to the memory of John Foster.

John Foster was born in Stockport, Cheshire on June 28, 1945, and died in Milton Keynes on August 17, 2012. I started this page because John had so many friends, who have so many memories of him - and not all of them could attend the funeral. Everything off the Memory Board at the funeral is here, also bigger versions of the photographs on the Order of Service. Please feel free to contribute to this page in any you can, or would like to. Thoughts

Ah John, got to know you as a dear friend of my Mum Barbara and came with Arthur many times to sing at your Christmas parties at Pennefather Court where we shared some great chats. Tried to keep in touch but was told you'd moved on. Now I realise why you stopped calling after finding you on this lovely memorial. Hope you're happy in Heaven. Say hi to my Mum and Arthur up there. R.I.P good friend x

Thinking of John today, a year has gone by but I miss him the same. Often I can imagine what John would say about something and it makes me laugh. He was an incredible man, who had a huge influence on my life. I was very blessed to have known him.

I can't believe John has been dead for a year, but it is really so. "Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance." I hope he's singing and dancing now! :-) xx
